Self Esteem Workshop
Self Esteem Workshop
In today’s society girls have to learn to be confident, strong, compassionate, and believe in themselves!
The Truth, Power, and Play Girls Self Development Workshop is a 4 week interactive workshop that serves as a creative approach to self-development for girls. The NAACP Image Award Nominated book Big Words to Little Me: Advice to the younger self is used as a tool that will help students to explore self-identity, develop self- esteem, create awareness of socio-emotional patterns, and explore practical short and long term goals (academic/career and personal). Together with movement, dialogue, literacy, and mindfulness techniques the girls will discover the power of their choices and learn to take full responsibility for their lives. By using creative expression we will work towards introducing tools and life skills that will help them to grow into capable, confident and secure individuals.
